Sharks

Digital. 7.56" X 10.51" ~1hr

With the alternative theme being "Bears (the sharks of the woods)" I couldn't help but think of Ryan Ottley's Grizzly Shark which was a whole lot of fun. So I ran with that idea. It's always so goofy to see sharks pop out of trees.

Ventured into Manga Studio EX4's brush pens and they're kinda fun, little annoying. I'd like to keep experimenting with them to see if I can control them a little better but at the moment they're showing me the potential of a good hybrid from my clean digital inks and character-ed brush pen. I also played around with a some crosshatching pattern that I don't know how I feel about. It's kind of hit and miss.
Oh well, it's fun to experiment.

King Mob

Finally I got around to reading the invisibles and it's starting to become an addiction such a great comic!

Gary Oldman - Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

Pen. 4" x 6" ~12 mins.
Wanted to do something entirely different this time. Finally got around to watching Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (I really enjoyed it) and I've always liked Gary Oldman so it just seemed like the right idea.
All pen, all the time. It was kinda fun working this way again (who knows when the last time I did was) but I could use some more refreshers.
Also, ugh, his mouth drags a little too far.

Supeman 85,271 AD

Study for illustration based off sketch by Grant Morrison for early all-star superman cover (Superman Now) but switched out regular Supes for my favorite version of him, the one from 85, 271 AD
